Condition 1: Subject to any prohibitions or restrictions contained in any other condition(s), the designated centre shall be operated at all times in accordance with the Statement of Purpose within the footprint of the designated centre on the floor plan received on 20 November 2025. The registered provider shall only provide for the specific care and support needs, and services, within the facilities as set out the Statement of Purpose, as agreed with the Chief Inspector at the time of registration. Any changes to the specific care and support needs and services provided must be agreed in advance with the Chief Inspector. Condition 2: Only persons aged 18 years or older shall be accommodated at the designated centre at any time. Condition 3: The maximum number of persons that may be accommodated at the designated centre is: 50.

What the latest inspection found

St. Camillus Community Nursing Unit provides individualised care in a bright, spacious environment with mostly single ensuite rooms. Residents feel safe and enjoy social activities and respectful staff support. However, many residents are unhappy with their bedrooms being too hot and windows that cannot be opened due to ongoing building works. Fire safety issues and incomplete care records were also noted. Management has taken steps to improve but some problems remain unresolved.

The environment is bright, spacious, and has various communal and outdoor areas for residents.
Residents feel safe and have access to social activities including group games and one-to-one sessions.
Residents have control over their personal possessions and finances with secure storage and transparent records.
Staff are trained in safeguarding and residents report feeling respected and valued.

What needed to improve

Many residents cannot open bedroom windows due to building works, causing excessive heat and discomfort.
Fire doors are sometimes propped open and have gaps, compromising fire safety.
Care plans and assessments are not always complete or updated, affecting care quality.
Complaints about accommodation issues are not always recorded or addressed properly.
Some residents face long waits for physiotherapy and occupational therapy assessments.
