Condition 1: Subject to any prohibitions or restrictions contained in any other condition(s), the designated centre shall be operated at all times in accordance with the Statement of Purpose within the footprint of the designated centre on the floor plan received 20 November 2025. The registered provider shall only provide for the specific care and support needs, and services, within the facilities as set out the Statement of Purpose, as agreed with the Chief Inspector at the time of registration. Any changes to the specific care and support needs and services provided must be agreed in advance with the Chief Inspector. Condition 2: Only persons aged 18 years or older shall be accommodated at the designated centre at any time. Condition 3: The maximum number of persons that may be accommodated at the designated centre is: 16.

What the latest inspection found

St Camillus Community Hospital provides care for up to 16 residents but had only 7 residents during the inspection. Residents were generally happy with their care and found the staff kind and responsive. However, the home had issues with maintaining residents' financial autonomy, inconsistent social activities, and some parts of the building were in poor repair. Fire safety doors were damaged or did not close properly, which could be a safety risk. Staffing levels met residents' needs on the day, but supervision and management systems were lacking.

Residents reported satisfaction with the care and kindness of staff.
Residents had access to communal areas including a large activity room and dining room.
Care plans were person-centred and based on comprehensive assessments.
Complaints were managed appropriately with a clear procedure.
Residents had access to advocacy services and could receive visitors in private or communal areas.

What needed to improve

Residents' rights to access and control their finances were restricted and not supported by clear policies.
Fire doors were damaged or did not close fully, risking fire and smoke containment.
Some areas of the building were worn, damaged, and not cleanable, including walls, floors, and clinical waste bins.
