Staffing

There are sufficient staff with the right skills to meet residents' needs promptly. Staffing levels match rosters, with a mix of permanent, relief, and some agency staff. Staff receive comprehensive training and feel supported by management.

Activities

A good variety of activities are offered, including arts and crafts, music sessions, and outings. Activities staff know residents well and encourage participation while respecting those who choose not to join. Religious services and hairdressing are also available.

Food

Meals are freshly prepared with a good variety and generous portions. Residents praised the quality and choice. Dietary needs are well accommodated, and assistance at mealtimes is attentive and respectful.

Dementia

Has a dedicated dementia unit. The dementia-specific unit accommodates 15 residents, is secured with keypad access, and offers a calm environment with music and suitable activities. Access to the secure courtyard is controlled by staff-held fobs, but management plans to review this to be more person-centred.
