CareChoice Clonakilty is a well-managed, purpose-built nursing home for up to 50 residents, mostly older adults but also some younger people. Residents and their families spoke very positively about the kindness and attentiveness of staff, and residents felt safe and comfortable. The home offers single and twin rooms with en-suite facilities, good communal spaces, and a variety of activities. Food quality and choice were praised, and healthcare needs were well met with access to various professionals. Staff are well trained and sufficient in number. The only concern was that CCTV use did not fully respect residents' privacy as per the home's policy.
